From July 17th to 27th, 2009, in "El Llano" Park, Oaxaca City, Mexico, the 12th International Mescal Fair is taking place right now!

Since 1997, this mescal trade fair and public event has been organized in conjunction with the famous Guelaguetza Folk Dance Festival, to present the regional beverage Mescal to locals, foregin visitors and international trade representatives.

The participants this year are more than 35 mescal producers from various Mexican states, who personally present their product range, offering a variety of mescals to taste and to purchase.

The state of Oaxaca produces over 2 million liters of certified, export quality, mescal every year. Some countries who import mescal are: Canada, USA, Brasil, Argentina, Japan, China, Singapour, France, Germany Switzerland, the Chech Republic and Spain.
